The design of this new 6 story, 35,000 square foot apartment building, involved balancing the need to maximize usable space with creating desirable units with an emphasis on light and openness. The double height living rooms with floor to ceiling glazing offer the apartments ample light and city views. Through the interplay of zinc, glazing and steel we were able to create a textural complexity and visual depth on the facade. The one story stone base maintains a relationship to the scale of the neighborhood while the 11 foot long canopy connects the lobby to the street. The roof terrace serves the residents as a public space fostering a sense of community.
